About the Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from an accredited high school from the State of Connecticut who also has been accepted and will attend the University of Connecticut. The student must have a demonstrated record of community service.

The Application period for 2023-2024 school year
is open through 11.59pm on April 30, 2024


The Kline Scholarship prefers online applicaitons
yet will still accept mailed paper applications.

Applications are available on this site or from your guidance office and may be photocopied or reproduced as necessary.

At least one scholarship of at least $250 will be awarded every year. The scholarship will be applied directly to the student's fee bill at the University of Connecticut.

The recipient(s) will be determined by the Board of Directors. All decisions are final.


Hints

  • At least one reference should be from someone who is familiar with your community service activities.
  • If your references are sending their letters under separate covers, ensure they arrive before the due date.
  • Define all acronyms.
  • Assure your essay answers the question posed.
  • Utilize the spell check feature of your word processing software.
  • Do not submit Google Docs. Rights are often an issue and are not readable by the committee. PDFs are the safest option.
